Food Network's "Great Food Truck Race" Stops in Fayetteville | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The City of Fayetteville was honored to host the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race during the Memorial Day weekend, when the Food Network competitors swarmed Dickson Street, Sam’s Club, the Farmer’s Market, and areas throughout Fayetteville in a cross-country competition that will be aired on national television August 19, 2012.
The food trucks were competing on The Great Food Truck Race season 3 to see who will become the top-selling food supplier in this nationwide competition. At each location visited, the food trucks stop to purchase food, prepare it and sell it out of their trucks. The trucks scout strategic locations as they move from city to city in order to establish the best spot to sell their food. They keep these locations secret until their sales truck moves to the location.
The food trucks made appearances Friday through Sunday around Fayetteville. Large crowds gathered to taste the chow from Coast of Atlanta, Pop-A-Waffle, Momma’s Grizzly Grub, Seoul Sausage and Nonna’s Kitchenette in spite of the warm weather.
City of Fayetteville police and event staff were present with the vendors as they moved through the City establishing their sales locations.
