Since the release of his first album in 1990, Jackson has been releasing hits and building a fan base that just keeps getting bigger. Twenty-two years later, Jackson’s small town upbringing in Newnan, Georgia, still resonates in his song writing.
Over the course of his career, Jackson has had 35 #1 hits and won numerous awards including two Grammy® Awards, 17 CMA Awards, and 16 ACM Awards. His worldwide album sales total nearly 60 million.
His latest album, “30 Miles West,” shows that Jackson is as on top of his game as ever. The album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Country Albums chart. For more information about Alan Jackson, please visit www.alanjackson.com.
The Avett Brothers
There is no harmony like brotherly harmony. The Avett Brothers includes brothers Scott and Seth, and bassist Bob Crawford. They began making music together in 2001, but weren’t signed to major label American Recordings until 2008 when legendary producer Rick Rubin picked them up. “As soon as I heard the depth in their singing and songwriting, I was in for the ride,” says Rubin, who has worked with some of the most talented mavericks in the business, including Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and The Dixie Chicks.
2009’s “I and Love and You” was The Avett Brothers’ first release on American Recordings and peaked at #16 on the US Billboard 200. Their follow-up album “The Carpenter” is due out in September 2012. For more information on The Avett Brothers, visit www.theavettbrothers.com.
