Superman fans, mark your calendars! Walmart announced today that it has partnered with Warner Bros. to give its customers exclusive access to see Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Man of Steel” in theaters nationwide before the film’s official release. This program marks the first time in entertainment history that a studio has partnered with a retailer to provide such an opportunity for fans.

New Boutique to Open in Fayetteville

Little Rock boutique, E.Leigh’s, is opening their doors in Fayetteville for a sneak peek party celebrating their new Dickson Street location Thursday, April 25, from 4-9 p.m.

What started as an online boutique in 2011, by Little Rock local, Erin L. Hohnbaum, took the Little Rock fashion scene by storm when it opened its doors in April 2012. Over 300 eager shoppers attended their blowout grand opening bash.

Panera Bread Helps Local Foodbanks with 2nd Friday Fundraisers

Panera Bread is inviting its guests to help provide meals for hungry children in Arkansas, simply by participating in 2nd Friday .  2nd Friday is Panera’s monthly fundraiser for local snack pack and back pack programs across the state.  Panera Bread in Northwest and Central, AR, will donate a portion of sales of featured items to the following local snack and back pack programs:

 

Lunch and Learn at Fayetteville Public Library

The Non Profit Resource Center at the Fayetteville Public Library will kick off a series of monthly brown bag lunch and learns designed for nonprofit directors and staff on January 18 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the Ann Henry Board Room at the library. The January session will focus on using social media to enhance outreach efforts.

Arvest Bank Breaks Ground on New Fayetteville Branch

Arvest Bank today celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking for a new Fayetteville branch location that will double the floor space of the branch it will replace.

Elected officials, community leaders and Arvest Bank associates gathered this morning to welcome the start of construction for the branch bank at 2389 North College Avenue. The branch is estimated to be completed sometime in October 2013.

Ozark Natural Foods to Celebrate 41 years

Ozark Natural Foods has been a part of Fayetteville since October 1971

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Thursday, October 4, Ozark Natural Foods will be celebrating its 41st anniversary. The celebration will last all day and will include free birthday cake and grilled samples of some of our most delicious products! We will also have a blow-out sale on a few select grocery items. We will have a scrapbook out that is full of pictures and items from our 41 years as a Co-op.

Tyson Foods’ Nutritious Meals Program established by grant

Tyson Foods served up a heaping helping of support for the nutritional needs of abused and neglected kids today, in the form of a major grant to establish Tyson Foods’ Nutritious Meals Program at Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.


Officials with Tyson Foods presented a giant ceremonial check to the Children’s Shelter and then joined its residents for a celebratory lunch of Tyson chicken tenders and nuggets.
