Beaver Watershed Alliance Receives Paddle Nation Project Grant

The Beaver Watershed Alliance (The Alliance), located in Springdale, was awarded the Paddle Nation Project Grant from Outdoor Nation, a national initiative connecting the Millennial Generation to the outdoors.

Fayetteville Community Seed Swap

The annual Fayetteville Community Seed Swap will take place at the UA Global Campus on Saturday, March 2, 2013, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The main event for this community seed swap will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in which there will be a free seed distribution and swap event. Anyone may bring seeds or other garden supplies at this time to donate to community gardeners. 

 

Celebration of Trees

On Saturday, October 13th, at 7:00 am Mayor Lioneld Jordan, the City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department, and the Urban Forestry Advisory Board will be sharing FREE trees and shrubs with city residents.  The 14th annual tree giveaway will be held on the Fayetteville Town Center Plaza adjacent to the Fayetteville Downtown Square.

Walton Arts Center announces fall Digging Up Arkansas tour

Walton Arts Center is proud to announce the third year of Digging Up Arkansas, an original play based on Arkansas history. The fall tour will have over 60 performances and reach nearly 7,500 3rd-5th grade students in Northwest Arkansas and all over the state. Digging Up Arkansas is presented by Walton Arts Center, written by Mike Thomas and performed by Trike Theatre.

St. Joseph Park Completion Celebration

The City of Fayetteville invites everyone to a ribbon cutting on Monday, October 8, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Park to celebrate the recent park construction project.

Groundbreaking for Fayetteville Trail Connection

The City of Johnson and Johnson Clear Creek Trails, Inc. in conjunction with the City of Fayetteville are excited to announce the start of the construction of a 3-mile multi-use trail connecting Scull Creek Trail to Lake Fayetteville.   This trail connection is an important part of the 36-mile Razorback Regional Greenway that will soon provide a continuous trail from southern Fayetteville to northern Bentonville.  

“Pesto Fest” Event Raises Funds to Support Urban Ag Training

On Sunday, October 7th from 5 to 10pm, Tri Cycle Farms will host their first annual Pesto Fest contest and benefit concert at the Greenhouse Grille. Local bands are volunteering their time and talent to support the cause, including Candy Lee and the Sweets, Guta and the Phosphenes.
