Team Break the Cycle setting out for Race Across America

On June 15, a four-person team from Northwest Arkansas will set out from the Pacific shore to bike all the way across America in just seven days – and it’s all to raise money for NWA Children’s Shelter!

Come on out to the Gulley Park Concert featuring the Sarah Hughes Band this Thursday, June 13, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Like all Gulley Park Concerts, it will be fun and free!  Bring a lawn chair and blanket and on Thursday night enjoy Fayetteville's own musical artist Sarah Hughes!

Puppeteer Doug Berky to Take Center Stage at Fayetteville Public Library

The Fayetteville Public Library will host the multitalented puppeteer Doug Berky on Wednesday, June 12, with shows at 1 and 2 pm. Berky combines elements of mime, physical comedy, and traditional storytelling with his elaborate handmade masks to create shows that inspire laughter and reflection.

 

“His performance last year went over so well that we wanted him back this year,” explained Caitlyn Walsh, Youth Services Assistant Manager. “We expect a crowd, too, which is why we’re hosting two performances. We don’t want anyone to miss out.”

Washington County Historical Society Hosts Arkansas History Commission Civil War Exhibit

Fought in Earnest: Civil War Arkansas, a free traveling exhibit chronicling major historical events in Arkansas between 1861 and 1865, will be displayed during the month of June at Headquarters House, 118 East Dickson Street, Fayetteville. Admission is free.

Yarn brings fresh Americana sounds to West Siloam Springs on June 13

For the last five years, Yarn has crisscrossed the country playing for what started as a small devoted fan base that continues to grow through relentless touring in a grassroots effort to showcase their Americana/alt-country sound to new ears.

On June 13, the Brooklyn-based band will play a show, free to the public, at 9 p.m. in Seven inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino West Siloam Springs.

Pinnacle Hills Promenade is proud to present the seventh annual free Music on the Lawn concert series every Saturday continuing through August 3 on the outdoor stage at Center Court, near Game Stop, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Youth Bridge Sponsors Motorcycle Poker Run Saturday, May 18

On Saturday, May 18th, Youth Bridge will sponsor a Motorcycle Show and Poker Run which begins and ends at Macadoodles, I-540 and Elm Springs Road in Springdale. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the first motorcycle out at 9:00 a.m.

The route is from Macadoodles to Pig Trail Harley Davidson in Rogers, to Pig Trails in Eureka Springs, to Anderson’s General Store in Hindsville and return to Macadoodles in Springdale. There will be prizes, raffles, music, live radio remote with 104.9 the X, and a free lunch sponsored by Signature Bank.
