How to Thrive (Not Just Survive) During Menopause | Health
FAYETTEVILLE – Join us on Sunday, May 20th at 2:30 pm in the Walker Community Room for a presentation on “How to Thrive (Not Just Survive) During Menopause”. Dr. Eve Agee is a Medical Anthropologist with a Ph.D and M.A. in Cultural Anthropology and a B.A. in International Relations who has studied women’s health issues around the globe. During her work, she has observed significant differences between Western and non-Western health trends and attitudes towards menopause.
Dr. Agee will discuss why women struggle with menopause in our culture and why women in many parts of the world have an easier time during this stage of life--with many actually looking forward to the process. In addition, she will reveal myths about menopause and discuss practical ways to ease the menopausal transition with nutrition, exercise and stress reduction.
This event is free to the public, so bring a friend and join us for this lively discussion. Book sales and signing will follow the discussion.
