Help Pinnacle Hills Promenade Celebrate Teachers

The finalists have been chosen; now the public can pick the winner for Pinnacle Hill Promenade’s search for a top performing teacher in the community.  The winning teacher will receive a $500 mall gift card on National Teacher’s Day, Tuesday, May 7.

 

“We have some great examples of teachers who affect their students’ lives in really positive and unique ways. I encourage anyone who had a teacher that inspired them during their own education to vote.” Said Brenda Majors, Marketing Manager.

 

FHS, First Responders Partner for "Shattered Dreams" Program

On April 18, 2013, area first responders will be participating in a scenario event called “Shattered Dreams” hosted by Fayetteville High School.  The Fayetteville Fire Department, Fayetteville Police Department, along with Central Emergency Medical Service and Air-Evac LIFE-Team will be participating in the “Shattered Dreams" program.

FHS Magazine Staff Wins Award

Congratulations to the staff of Connotations, the student literary magazine at Fayetteville High School, for winning a Gold Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for their 2012 edition. This is the highest award given for excellence in writing, editing, design, content, concept, photography, art, and graphics. Connotations is one of only twelve high school student literary magazines in the U.S. to receive this award.

Local Students Win Keep Arkansas Beautiful Art Contest

Local winners in the Great American Cleanup in Arkansas Youth Poster Contest were announced Monday. Emma Wise, a second-grader, Butterfield Trail Elementary School, is the third-place winner in the Grades K-2 category. Peter Welcher, fifth-grader, St. Joseph Catholic School, is the second-place winner in the grades 3-5 category.

Kappa Delta Sorority Hosts Annual Shamrock Event

It’s back again!!! Kappa Delta sorority presents the 5th Annual Shamrock Talent Show. Entry fee is $5 and all of the proceeds will benefit the Children’s Safety Center of Washington County.

Fayetteville High Presents "Oklahoma!"

Get your tickets now for the Fayetteville High School production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!" Performances will be Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7 pm in the beautiful new FHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 for students, and $15 for non-students. Call 445-1193.
