The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will be holding the annual summer job fair at Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, February 23 from 9 A.M. to 12 Noon.

Strike the Sasquatch is Playing Cupid

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals and their mascot Strike hope to make your Valentine’s Day a memorable one by playing Cupid for Valentine's Day. Fans can have Strike deliver a special Valentine's Day package to their sweetheart as part of this annual program to bring a baseball theme to the holiday.

For only $50.00 your valentine will receive two Naturals ticket vouchers (good for any game during the 2013 season), a red rose, and a box of chocolates delivered to your sweetheart by Strike the Sasquatch. 

Recycling with the Razorbacks Gears up for Game Day Challenge

                FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback fans will be asked to help the University of Arkansas score big in the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Game Day Challenge this Friday at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The Game Day Challenge is a competition involving 79 colleges and universities to promote waste reduction at their football games.

Meet the sixth ranked University of Arkansas Lady Gymbacks on Saturday, November 10th from 3:00-4:00pm at the Fayetteville Public Library!  Members of the Razorback gymnastics nationally ranked team will be reading to children and signing autographs.

 

Garrett Uekman Memorial Scholarship Established

Garrett Uekman Memorial Scholarship Established

The Garrett Uekman Foundation has pledged $100,000 to help fund an endowed memorial scholarship within Razorback Athletics to honor the memory of former Razorback football student-athlete Garrett Uekman.

The gift agreement was signed in a ceremony held in Garrett’s hometown of Little Rock on Monday where Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long was joined by members of the Uekman family including Garrett’s parents, Danny and Michelle, and his sister Meagan.

Razorback Athletics goes pink for the cure

The University of Arkansas Athletics Department has teamed up with the Susan G. Komen-Ozark Affiliate and sponsors Academy Sports + Outdoors, Mercy and United Healthcare to create a year long initiative to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.

Special “Pink” events begin in October in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
