The City of Fayetteville, Keep Arkansas Beautiful, and Keep America Beautiful invite you to a special Ceremony to confirm Keep Fayetteville Beautiful as an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. in room 219 of City Hall (113 W. Mountain Street).

“Pesto Fest” Event Raises Funds to Support Urban Ag Training

On Sunday, October 7th from 5 to 10pm, Tri Cycle Farms will host their first annual Pesto Fest contest and benefit concert at the Greenhouse Grille. Local bands are volunteering their time and talent to support the cause, including Candy Lee and the Sweets, Guta and the Phosphenes.

Run with the squirrels, enjoy education expo, food, fun at Winslow

Winslow, the Boston Mountain community that’s Arkansas’ highest incorporated town, invites all to “Come Run with the Squirrels” on Sept. 22, the second annual half-marathon and 5K to raise money for local non-profit organizations.

 

Winslow Community Development Council, a local non-profit, started the race last year to raise funds for area non-profit organizations. With an aging population of less than 400 people, this small rural community is often over looked by area organizations serving larger cities.

Panera Bread, Fayetteville is hosting the 4th annual  Hike Against Hunger for LifeSource, September 8, 2012, 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.. 

This annual event features an early morning hike on the Mud & Scull Creek Trails beginning at Panera Bread, 3638 N Front Street, Fayetteville, a free Panera Bread breakfast, a raffle for an adult bicycle donated by The Bike Route, a sports pack filled with goodies for the first 300 participants, door prizes and more.
